Program Description
The New Mexico MFA Assistance Combo allows first time homebuyers to combine up to three MFA down payment assistance programs (MFA DownPayment Advantage, MFA FirstDown, and MFA HomeNow) into one. Each assistance program is different, so ultimately the final loan can be a combination of a standard 2nd mortgage (FirstDown), a deferred 2nd mortgage that is forgivable (HomeNow), and grant funds (DownPaymentAdvantage). The maximum amount of assistance cannot exceed $35,000.
